Unhappy RE: NNetworking question advice pls

I just bought two network cards. What should the IP address be for each computer? I don't want to use the Internet. I'm new to networking, so pls help.

Use these settings:

Netmask/address mask:
Broadcast address:
IP address range you can use for your computers: from to

If you just have two computers, use and (that's the setup I have, leaves some breathing room between addresses, just in case, you never know).
