re movie file


From what site can i download a rpm that can play movie with the extension of .dat

Sounds like vcd to me. According to http://mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/formats.html mplayer will play vcd aka .dat files. I don't think anybody will be able to help you with the rpm unless you tell us which distro (redhat, mandrake, suse, etc) your using.
