RDP and slip

hi, been browsing here for months and find this place extremely useful. Weird thing happened, RH9, connecting to my.ip.add.ress:3389 it spits out authenticating... then tells me the server is not accepting new connections--but I'm all "hold up a second, biatch!!" I can connect in windows juuuust fine. then it's all like "slp must be borked." And I'm saying "huh?" What.is.there.to.configure.?? it's pissing me off!
tia.
