rdesktop problems connecting to new Win7 system.
I have been using rdesktop to connect to my windows systems for about a year without any issues. I have connected to Windows XP, Vista, Server 2003 and 2008 r2 without any problems.
Also I use a smart card, so I have been using the "-r scard" option to forward my smart card (CAC) reader to the remote machine. All this worked wonderfully.
Until, I was given a windows 7 machine to replace my ageing Vista system. Now I can no longer RDP to it from rdesktop.
[savone@fenrir ~]$ rdp win7ws
Autoselected keyboard map en-us
ERROR: recv: Connection reset by peer
ERROR: send: Broken pipe
Some testing that I have done:
1) I am able to connect to the Win7 Workstation from other windows systems.
2) I can connect to Win7 Workstation using Remmina RDP client for linux. But there is no option to forward my CAC reader.
So, I need one of the following solutions:
1) Get rdesktop to work with the Win7 Workstation.
2) Get Reminna / FreeRDP to forward my smart card reader.
BTW, I already checked to make sure the Windows System is set to accept RDP connections without NLA. (less secure option)
