razor vs. procmail

Hello All:

I'm using rh 7.3, w/ standard kmail, and am thinking of downloading razor and/or procmail.
I'm a newbie, and sincerely want to know which of the two programs is better and which is easier to use.
Can I use the two programs in conjunction? Should I use the two in conjunction?
Is there another anti-spam open-source program that I should consider, and if so what is it?

Thanks,

SpamAssassin springs into my mind. ;)

But I use it from a maildrop filter file in my e-mail chain;
ie. cronjob --> fetchmail --> postfix --> maildrop --> ~/MailDir/ <-- courier-imap <-- kmail/squirllmail

I'm not sure how to integrate spamassassin when using kmail only.

Thanks for the info. I'm a newbie and am saving your response for when I accumulate enough to understand it better.

I'm curious as to why Razor doesn't have either pgp or checksum values for download verification. It makes me nervous.
