Raid whith mdadm

How I can remove /dev/md0 using mdadm??
I try to remove it but on the next boot it is still there.

Is their an entry in /etc/fstab for the software raid? you might have to manually undo some configuration files that maybe rebuilding the array when the machine is rebooted.

nothing in fstab...
I already reinstall the system...but when I install the mdadm the damn md0 appears again...
I don't know what I do.
I heard that I had to recompile my kernel and disable the automatic raid detection, but I think it should have an easier way.
And if I disable I'm gonna do other array later?
