Yep. Using the raidtools package, a kernel with RAID support (built-in or as modules), properly configured partitions (type "fd" RAID autodetect), and of course a couple of drives. :)

There's some great documentation over at tldp.org on the subject.

I do software raid with one of my Redhat 9 based servers. Works like a charm..
