radeonfb - linux-2.6.10 does not work

Hi,
I tried to get frambuffersupport for my radeon-9200 working, but with no sucsess.
I tried it with standart vesa and radeonfb support, but the resolution is still 640x400.

Here is my dmesg output:

** PCI interrupts are no longer routed automatically.  If this
** causes a device to stop working, it is probably because the
** driver failed to call pci_enable_device().  As a temporary
** workaround, the "pci=routeirq" argument restores the old
** behavior.  If this argument makes the device work again,
** please email the output of "lspci" to bjorn.helgaas_at_hp.com
** so I can fix the driver.

Any ideas, how I can get this working?

thx thorsten

Hint: give more info (at least distro and version)

looks like a certain process, "kobject" failed to recognize the framebuffer, it gave an error:

"kobject_register failed for radeonfb (-17)"

The log also shows AGPGART is inited *after* radeonfb, maybe that's a problem i'm not sure.

Ok,
thanks for your answer!

I use slackware-10, with kernel-2.6.10

I have now build agpart as a module (several people said, that radeonfb + agpart may cause trouble)

If I made a "fbset" it get this:

Code:

bash-2.05b# fbset -i

PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing
** PCI interrupts are no longer routed automatically.  If this
** causes a device to stop working, it is probably because the
** driver failed to call pci_enable_device().  As a temporary
** workaround, the "pci=routeirq" argument restores the old
** behavior.  If this argument makes the device work again,
** please email the output of "lspci" to bjorn.helgaas@hp.com
** so I can fix the driver.
