Quota Questions!!! Pls. HELP!!!
 

Hi All:

As a root I can change the quota limit of a general user, this is o.k. now in my system.

The change of quota limit can be updated in "real time".

Use the command "repquota -a" to check this change.


However, when the user create/add files in his account, the user
cannot check his usage of the account.

The command "quota -v" shows the "old usage" only.

After running the command (by root) "quotacheck -avugm",
the usage can be updated.

I think the usage should be updated in "real time".
What is the problem?

My system is Debian 3.0 (kernel 2.4).

You can always setup a cron job to update this periodically, etc.
