quite boot mode?


i am looking for a way to get rid of the boot messages. so the system boots, nothing shows up ( a nice graphic is ok) and X windows starts.
bootsplash project won't suit on this system.

my system: fedora core 1 on grub
kernel 2.4.22-2115ntpl and 2.6.6

may I ask why? you can redirect most output to /dev/null with editing the bootscripts, but there's always some output left...
