Quickbooks file getting corrupted..

We are sharing a QB file on a Samba server running Mandrake 9.1. I have oplocks turned off. The file is OK for about a week, then start throwing errors and gets corrupted forcing a rebuild of the data. Anybody else have this problem with QB and Samba? Could it be a hardware/ cable problem? Thanks in advance..
