Quickbooks 2004 on CXO5.0.0 printing issue after move to SuSE 10.2 from 9.3

Hello.

Have run QB2004 for some years now without problem under CrossOverOffice, but recently decided to update my SuSE OS to 10.2 (as one can simply copy a Win 'bottle' and place it in a new directory, I had no issues with Intuit's annoying licence and activations process for what is now a 'sunset' product). After a few hours of tweaking and getting the OS into a shape that works for me with the apps I need, the only thing remaining that won't function is printing from Quickbooks.

Printing anything else, from file, OpenOffice, browser, whatever, works perfectly fine. But trying to print anything from QB won't pass any job to the print queue and I fail to see why.

I notice that 10.2 does away with the print manager GUI and offers the Manage Printing CUPS browser type interface, though its functions appear the same. Running the 9.3 on another system, I have checked and all settings within QB are the same (printing on LPR: #printername). So what has changed? Any ideas?

Appreciate your time.

Kaine.

As a further detail, should anybody have any suggestions whatsoever, I have realised that the application will print to file. I'm not sure that it's relevant, but I am still puzzled, and have a growing number of unprinted invoices.

Thanks,

Kaine.
