Question questions about evolution and fetchmail/procmail

I use evolution for my email client. I went to set up fetchmail to use spamassassin (read: tried) and discovered that fetchmail already is configured to retrieve email from my isps pop3 server for my account. I assume this is because evolution set it up to do so. That's cool. My questions are

1. how do I encorporate spamassassin into my mail retrieval.
links are more than welcome here. :-)

2. Can evolution utilize fetchmail?

3. Does evolution use the users home directory to store mail, even though the users have different names? Like if I run evolution as joeshmo (user) and have it set up to get mail for ilovespam@aol.com will it store ilovespams mail in joeshmos home directory, since joeshmo is the user running the program?

Any help or advice will be most appreciated. I am up to my ears in spam.

bump.. I have figured out how to make fetchmail get my email from the server, and I added a couple of lines that are supposed to port the mail through procmail/spamassassin. But the mail is nowhere to be found afterwards. It's not in any users mailbox and evolution cannot seem to retrieve it from the users mailbox. Anyone know anything about fetchmail and the path it takes??
