Question about Link to Appz

This is a noob question.. but anyway..

How do I create a shortcut so that it will run a command rather than a file? Reason being, I want to create an icon for LimeWire, but need to run the Java command prior to it. So it would essentially be "java -jar LimeWire.jar".

I can execute it through terminal fine, just never thought of this until I went to make a shortcut.

Thanks!

It depends on what window manager or desktop environment you're using. In KDE, for example, you can right-click on the desktop and go to Create New->Link to Application and enter the full command under the Applciation tab.
