question about KVM linux and adding the iso file

Hey guys, well everything went fine with KVM. My question is, how can I point the iso from a remote server? when I run KVM, it is only giving me options to find an iso locally.

would a symlink pointing to the file in the remote samba server do the trick?

Mount the samba share locally then just browse to it like any other file.

I've never tried cifs/samba for this. I've mounted iso images for access like updates and such for systems that didn't have an optical drive. I think it could work.

A somewhat complex way might be to mount it to iscsi.

Less complex might be nfs.

I think this is what you are looking at. http://en.community.dell.com/techcen...mote-iscsi-lun
