Question about Konqueror and KWrite...
Is there any way that I can have Konqueror not display certain files? Because every time you create a file with KWrite it makes a backup file (such as foo.txt~) and I hate looking at them all the time. Like, when I make web files and put them in my htdocs folder, it's like I'm seeing doubles of every files and annoys me. If that isn't possible, can I have KWrite just stop making a backup file? Thanks for any help.
EDIT: Nevermind, I got KWrite to stop making backups. |
Click on "configure" and go in "Open/Save" (I don't have KWRITE in english, so names could be a bit different).
At the bottom, something like "security copy at saving", deselect "local file" (or change the extension... that is, in fact, "~" by default). Now Kwrite will not create the automatic backup file when you save a modified document... (or, if you only change extension, the automatic backup will be set with your new extension). Zodar |
