Angry Question about deleted apps

I just ran 84 updates for my linux and now all of a sudden my apps wont load. It says some error and asks me if I want to delete the apps or keep them. There went my clock and all that stuff. I am sorry if this annoys anyone but I am still learning linux...And now my GAIM says it can't read my yahoo messenger account I am getting a little frustrated here..

Try posting the error you get when it asks you if it should delete or not. Maybe someone can get a better idea of how to help you then.
