question about bootsplash

I just did bootsplash on my RedHat 7.3, but I can't do "silent"mode, for some reason I don't know, it jumps into verbose mode during the middle of the boot( when system begins to run script in directory rcx.d). Cound anybody help me?

To prad - Can u pls tell me how exactly u got bootsplash working with RedHat? I've got RedHat 9, but I assume this shouldn't make such a difference. I patched the kernel, added framebuffer and initrd support, but I don't get how to do the splash scripts stuff. I read the instructions on the site [] , I sort of tried that but it still didn't work. Can u pls explain in shorter and clearer instructions how u did it, or post/e-mail a sample scripts file with the splash function things?
I did it using the SuSE 8.x kernel [kernel-2.4.19.SuSE] but I would like to do it using the RedHat 9 kernel [2.4.20-8].
Ur help would be appreciated.
