Quanta isn't show right caracters

Hi, i have been working on a php website for about 1 month using Eclipse. I decided to start working with quanta because eclipse was really slow on my computer.
I installed quanta and opened my file (index.php) but when there was supposed to be characters like ç or õ there was just a little square. Does anyone know how can i solve this?

It's likely, Eclipse has encoded your files in ISO-8859-1 whereas Quanta assumes them to be encoded in UTF-8. Just a better guess, but at any rate this is a character encoding issue. - Two possible solutions:

1. Quanta:
Menu: Settings: Configure Editor:
Section: Open Save
- Try setting the encoding to "Western (ISO-8859-1)"

2. Uhm, none actually. - There are some bits more to tell about proper encoding, i.e., using the HTML
