I'm running RH8. Meaning:
- XFree86 4.2.0
- Linux 2.4.18-14
- Latest nvidia drivers (don't recall the version)

my q3 installation is as follows:
- q3 1.32 point release on ext3 partition
- gamedirs on fat32 partition ln -s'ed to the proper places to the ext3 partition.

The problem is that it hangs right after I load some but not all of the maps.

It happens also at the main menu in the Urban Terror mod.

I've tried using different resolutions and different sizes of mem allocated (using com_hunkmegs) but the problem remained. In the console, there's no error.

Does anyone have any pointers, suggestions or ideas?

It maby a stupid question, but is the fat32 partition mounted when you try to play q3? Probebly is, right?

eheheh yes it is... I think q3 wouldn't even run if it wasn't
