I have the same problem under Quake 3 with the added bonus of another problem. Whenever I try changing the video settings it kills the game. As far as the mouse goes... it works but it doesn't. The buttons work fine but the movement doesn't. It is a Wireless Logitech MouseMan+ USB going threw the USB to PS2 adapter and works fine under X (KDE). I am running the GeForce3 GPU. I have the latest stable kernel (2.4), drivers and Q3 point release installed and am running SuSE 8.2. I also had the same problem when I had Mandrake installed. Here is the clincher. If I am very very lucky, maybe about one out of every 100 or so times I try running Quake3 it works with no problems with the mouse. There is a good chance that I will be switching over to Gentoo soon but have a feeling that I will have the same problem there. Any ideas? If it help, I can email the log file.
