Qt Parted reporting incorrect parition types

I have one hard drive that is ext2 and linux swap. When I use Qt Parted it tells me that my drive is slmost all NTFS. Is this software known to be problamatic? If so is there any other partitioning software for linux that has a decent GUI?

The only decent GUI partitioning programs that I know of are the Red Hat and SuSE installers. These programs are proprietary so Debian does not distribute them.

I always use command line fdisk and stay completely away from parted. I have always had at least one major screw up every time I try to use parted whereas fdisk is idiot proof simple.

Yes, I use fdisk. My colleage and I are having a debate about windows vs linux software GUI's. He gave me a list of programs that he uses regularly and I told him that I could duplicate his XP desktop using Debian. So far so good other than the partiioning tool :]
