Qt Designer HELP!

I am going to class to learn C++. I was interested in doing my labs in one of the programing tools offered in Red Hat Linux, and a friend suggested I use Qt Designer. So far, I am impressed but, I can not figure out how to compile the program! In school, the tool offered a button or a selection under the "Project" menu, providing a way to preview and/or compile the program. I can not find this function in Qt Designer.

Could some one help me please?

qt designer is just a GUI builder, you will have to use kdevelop or any text editor to code the actual program.
