qt = 1:3.1.2-14.2

I'm trying to install GUIPod on Fedora Core 2, and I've gone through a long Google Crusade trying to find files. When I tried installing qt-devel-3.1.2-14.2, I got this on the screen
Code:
error: Failed dependencies:
        qt = 1:3.1.2-14.2 is needed by qt-devel-3.1.2-14.2
Could you help me?

you need to get the qt-devel for the qt lib you have

if you have apt installed already then as root simply type
apt-get update
apt-cache search qt
then find the qt-devel package and install it with
apt-get install qt-devel (whatever it's called)
or better yet just
apt-cache search GUIPod
then whetever the package name is
apt-get install GUIPod
and apt will always do all the dependancies for you ! (saved at last)

if you don't have apt yet
http://www.fedora.us/wiki/FedoraHOWTO

there is another package manager on fedora called yum i have never used but someone else can explain how to use it as well

basically redhat is now cured by these tools of the old rpm dependancy hell from years ago so learn how to use these tools and you will be set
