Post qmail-scanner ./configure error

I am attempting to install qmail-scanner 1.22 on red hat linux 8 with qmail-toaster 1.03, vpopmail-toaster 5.3.8, and clamav 0.70.
However, when I continuously get a syntax error when trying to configure/install. Even though I have manipulated the qmail-scanner-queue.template file numerous times, I always get the same syntax error at the same line. It seems to hit some type of kernel limitation.

Command entered,

[root@fvsse qmail-scanner-1.22]# ./configure --scanners "clamscan" --admin "postmaster" --domain "se.fvsu.edu" --debug

Error message

Unmatched right curly bracket at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 2067, at end of line
syntax error at /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl line 2067, near "; }"
Execution of /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl aborted due to compilation errors.

Code where the error is reported to be:

2056 #Only delete original zip file if it happily unpacked.
2057 if ( $zip_status eq 0 && -f "$ENV{'TMPDIR'}/$zipfile") {
2058 #system $rm_binary,"-f","$ENV{'TMPDIR'}/$zipfile";
2059 &debug("u_f: $zip_status, and successfully unzipped");
2060 #It may have been deleted, but you still want to see if
2061 #it matches the perlscanner DB...
2062 #$zipfile=tolower($zipfile);
2063 #push(@zipfile_list, $zipfile) if (!grep(/^$zipfile$/,@zipfile_l ist));
2064 my ($dev,$ino,$mode,$nlink,$uid,$gid,$rdev,$zsize,$atime,$mtime, $ctime,$blksize,$blocks);
2065 ($dev,$ino,$mode,$nlink,$uid,$gid,$rdev,$zsize,$atime,$mtime,$ct ime,$blksize,$blocks) = stat("$zipfile");
2066 $file_desc .= "$zipfile:$zsize\t";
2067 }
2068 }
2069 }

Can anyone assist?

It appears there's an error in the perl script /var/qmail/bin/qmail-scanner-queue.pl but I'm surprised to see this in the distributed version of qmail...

Anyway try to edit this file and remove one of those 3 } at line 2067

f that doesn't work try to download another version of qmail-scanner, apparently then a typo managed to find its way to this release

good luck

I eventually gave up, and installed qscanq instead; I installed it trouble-free.
