qmail not sending emails

Hi

I am running redhat 8 with qmail

i am not able to send emails through qmail but am able to recive..looked at the logs and saw alot of the following
;

@400000004163025532fc8f14 delivery 22: deferral: Sorry,_I_wasn't_able_to_establish_an_SMTP_connection._(#4.4.1)/
@400000004163025532fce8ec status: local 0/10 remote 7/255

does this have anything to do with my firewall settings?
or reverse DNS?

Sounds like a DNS problem (OK - I'm picking on the easiest one to solve

) Can you try a 'dig' for any of the domains you're trying to send to?

Also - if you want less cryptic output from qmail's logfile, try piping it through the (usually installed) tai64nlocal
