So after days of trying to get this to work I'm out of ideas and I'm asking for help.
I've got qmail installed and working fine (netqmail 1.05 from
www.qmail.org).
It's using spamassassin that I can't get going.
I'm on Fedora. I've tried using the spamassassin that comes with the distrib, and I've also installed the latest spamassassin. However I doubt that's the problem - I think I'm doing something wrong in the sending messages to spamassassin part...
Qmail's setup with the
www.lifewithqmail.com setup. It supposedly has the QMAILQUEUE patch installed on it but that doesn't seem to be working (as if i export qmailqueue=/usr/bin/spamc or spamassassin emails dont go through it and they just get sent straight to the users mailbox)
So I guess qmailqueue doesnt work.
next I replaced the qmail-queue program with a script that called spamc (also tried with calling spamassassin) and then passed it to the regular qmail-queue file - no luck, messages just got stuck in the qmail mail queue.
next I tried changing the default delivery file. everything I do in here results in mails getting stuck in the qmail queue. But here's the versions i've tried in the file:
|spamassassin |maildir ./Mailbox
| spamassassin | maildir ./Mailbox
| preline spamassassin | preline maildir ./Mailbox
| spamassassin | safecat /tmp/Mailboxtmp ./Mailbox
| preline spamassassin | preline safecat /tmp/Mailboxtmp ./Mailbox
also tried with the spamassassin calls and the mailbox calls on separate lines
these all get the mails stuck at the qmail queue section. qmail-send also seems to have a problem starting whenever i use safecat/maildir in the defaultdelivery file on the same line as the spamassassin call...
I'd really appreciate any help, thanks
