QLA2312 Topology Setting
 
I have 2 HP DL580's with dual QLA2312 cards attached to an HP MSA1000 SAN with 2 built-in Brocade 8-port switches. However, when the driver loads, it is connecting to the switches as an FL_PORT, rather than an F_Port. It is my understanding that a loop configuration is designed for hubs and F_PORT or N_PORT is more for switches.

My question is: How do I tell the qla driver to connect as an F_PORT rather than an FL_PORT? -or- Do I need to configure the switch port to be an F_PORT and then it will be properly detected by the driver? I'm not sure how the driver determines the topology, i.e. is it set or detected...
