Qemu Full Screen Problem SOLVED!

Using Debian 5.0. I compiled Qemu 0.10.4 ontop and it worked fine. I few weeks later I compiled a newer version of Qemu 0.10.5. Afterward, Qemu would only open in full screen mode. I ran find and erased all Qemu files in the system then reinstalled the default Qemu that comes with Debian 5.0 which is 0.9.1.10-lenny. Now that one also comes up only in full screen mode. Additionally, the keyboard also does not work; it returns garbage when you type. Has anybody had the same problem?

SOLVED!

I was running qemu under a root shell. I ran it under a regular user with `sudo qemu ...` then the qemu full screen problem went away. The qemu display does not work well if the user runs su as root; it goes into full screen mode and the keyboard does not work right.
