Hello, I need to make a bootable USB stick on slackware box for a Dell Inspiron Mini1012 7Windows OS that only boots into a blue graphic screen. I change the BIOS to boot into USB and when it does it says no OS was found. The laptop was given to me & I have no windows machines. I'd like to install an easy working lite linux OS on the Mini w single core, 1gb, maybe 32bit linux mint, arch linux? Thank you
This thread is about creating a bootable usb/flash drive with a windows installer to install windows. If you have a Slackware install on your computer, you can use dd or unetbootin among other software to create a bootable flash drive of pretty much any Linux iso. You indicate you change the BIOS to boot from usb but what are you trying to boot on the usb and how did you create it.
