Snipersnest Member Registered: Jan 2005 Location: SC Distribution: Ubuntu 7.10 Gusty Gibbon Posts: 269 Rep:	Python....screwed? When I try yum update I get this error...So I tried yum remove python...it did ALOT of stuff...then I tried yum install python* ... then it tells me its missing all kinds of stuff.... Isn't there a way to just reinstall it or something without these problems? What does Python do? Do I need it? If I don't need it can I get yum update to go around it and update everything else? Resolving Dependencies --> Populating transaction set with selected packages. Please wait. ---> Package python-devel.i386 0:2.3.4-13.1 set to be updated --> Running transaction check --> Processing Conflict: python-devel conflicts python < 2.3.4-13.1 --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: python-devel conflicts with python < 2.3.4-13.1 Fedora Core 3 Athlon 2600+ Barton 1GB PC2700
