python-scientific not working properly in ubuntu 11.10

I intend to use a python script which requires python-scientific.

I installed using

Quote:
sudo apt-get install python-scientific
and all the installation went smooth.

But when I try to run the script i get error message as below

Quote:
from: can't read /var/mail/Scientific.IO.NetCDF
note:
Previously I installed python-scientific in Ubunut 11.10 and the script which I am running now was functioned fine. But due to some issues I need to format the whole hard drive and installed Ubuntu 11.10 freshly. I really don't know why it does not run.

Appreciate any help in advance.

Vijay
