Python and Bittorrent

Bittorrent experimental always worked fine.
I have Madrake 10.0

I installed a lot of updates today including mozilla 1.7.2 which required GTK libraries to be updates as well. I used URPMI for pretty much all of it.

I just found out that bittorrent experimental won't work anymore. When i try to run i get these errors.

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "./", line 1987, in ?
File "./", line 1948, in run
app = btWxApp(0, params)
File "./", line 1927, in __init__
self.configfile = configReader()
File "/home/joris/programs/bittorrent-CVS-shadowsclient/BitTorrent/", line 51, in __init__
self.configFileDefaults['gui_checkingcolor'] = self.ColorToHex(wx.wxSystemSettings_GetColour(wxSYS_COLOUR_3DSHADOW))
NameError: global name 'wx' is not defined

And for Bittornado i get pretty much the same but it finishes with this

wx._core.PyNoAppError: The wx.App object must be created first!

I tried reinstalling python libraries python-2.3.4
and some python GTK toolkits

none of this worked.. what does wx.App object do?

I did some more python remove and install with URPMI

now i get the error

from BitTornado import PSYCO
File "/home/joris/programs/BitTornado-CVS/BitTornado/", line 10, in ?
from sha import sha
ImportError: No module named sha

what is sha?
secure hash algorithm?
why is it missing?

I'm pretty confused
