pure-ftp


I've set up my pure-ftp server but i can't log on my user name. However i can log on as anonymous.

bash-2.05b$ ftp localhost
Trying ::1...
ftp: connect to address ::1: Connection refused
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.mtromd01.md.comcast.net.
220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [privsep] [TLS] ----------

220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Name (localhost:user):
331 User user OK. Password required
Password:
530 Authentication failed, sorry
ftp: Login failed.

I am using the console login password for my username.
