public.gpg.key: import read failed error

Hello:

I am happy to have found this website and hope that someone can give me advice to solve my problem. I have Fedora Core 3 installed on my machine and I want to set it up as email server. The version of sendmail I have is sendmail-8.13.1-2. I need
sendmail-cf package in order to generate sendmail.cf from sendmail.mc.

When I run
yum install sendmail-cf
the error is: you do not have any GPG public keys installed. You need to download the keys for packages you wish to install and install them.

When I run the following line as suggested
rpm --import public.gpg.key
I get the error: public.gpg.key: import read failed.

Can anyone offer me suggestion to solve this? Thank you!

Try re-downloading the keys from http://fedora.redhat.com/About/security/
and then importing them.
