pSX just won't run on IBM R50 Laptop.

Hello, I have an ibm R50 laptop with an ATI Radeon Mobility 7500. I just can't get pSX (The Playstation Emulator) to run on this laptop.

When i run it I get this error:

[driAllocateTexture:635] unable to allocate texture

Then it seg faults.

I have pSX running fine on my desktop, and it's an easy program to install...but why won't it run on this laptop?

I'm running mythbuntu 9.10.

Any ideas?

-Thanks

It worked great on ubuntu 8.10, now i'm on 9.10 and suddenly it won't work. Any ideas for a fix? Some upgrade. I hear people are calling ubuntu 9.10 "Ubuntu's Vista."

-Thanks for the help.

If its a bug in xorg then youll have to wait till that bug is fixed and ubuntu has a update for it...Is your ubuntu up to date?? Or if PSX is that important go back to 8.10..I just noticed your using Mythbuntu..But still same thing..Wait for bug fix..or roll back to older version that worked..

I hear ya. Unfortunately, The new version of mythtv is not compatible with the old. So if i want to watch mythtv on my laptop, i have to keep 9.10. Mythbuntu 8.10's version of mythtv uses different database schema. Otherwise, i'd go back to 8.10 in a heartbeat.

I have another post going here about mupen64plus on the same laptop. It doesn't work either with 9.10, but did with 8.10.

I guess I could always try another distro, but it's nice to have all the computers (2 desktops, 3 laptops) use the same distro (Kubuntu or mythbuntu).
