PSIDATA equivalent for Linux

1 Attachment(s)
I am looking for a program like PSIDATA for Linux.
Psidata is a powerful data manager. In it you can edit your own label and (to?) create your database.
It can be used without sqlite or other database.
It uses simple files that can be put in /home.

I find this program PSIDATA a master piece of old database. Years ago, before sql, dbf format was extensively used, and it was well employed. However nowadays there are still no programs that handle the dbf format or other formats in a way similar to what was available. Sql is not necessarily the only solution and clone of psidata would be/could be a light and easy solution.
[Is it better with some explanations?]

frenchn00b,

Your post has been reported as spam, citing your linkings to both a picture & a German language site.
Fortunately, I have seen enough of your posts to know that you not a spammer -- you just don't always express yourself clearly in English.

I suggest that the following would have been clearer:

Title: PSIDATA equivalent for Linux

Make "PSIDATA" a link to English lang. info. on the s/w.
  • Psidata is a powerful data manager. In it you can edit your own label and (to?) create your database.
Reword "edit your own label" to make sense in English.
  • It can be used w/ or w/o sqlite or other database.
  • It uses simple (text?) files that can be put in /home.

Feel free to use the above to edit your post to make your question clearer. I hope it's clear the colored parts are in-line comments & suggestions, not suggested language to include.

Much better, although I still don't understand "edit your own label and create your database". I suspect "label" means something else in French database jargon. That in turn makes "and create" difficult to understand.

Are there no links available for the s/w?

BTW, thank you for the e-mail note, & thank you for not cluttering the thread w/ it.

Hope this helps you get some answers soon.
