Proxychains4 not working well with free proxies

I followed a few tutorials on using proxychains and setting up the configuration file, but the free proxies I find on the web are useless.

I've use all type of protocols that each of the proxy is using like http, https and socks 4/5. When proxychains is trying to use these proxies, all I get are error messages, denied, or timeouts.

I got a list of these free proxies from these two sites http://proxylist.hidemyass.com/ and https://www.socks-proxy.net/

Do you know any working free proxies? Thanks

so this would be the Next Generation ( ng )

and not proxychains from 2006

a few things are missing
like
What operating system are you using ?
HOW did you install proxychains ?
What version of 4 is it ?
Where did you get it from ?
a) From Git ?
b) From your package manager ?
c) From sourceforge ?

A. pclinuxos 2016 64bit kde

HOW did you install proxychains ?

A. pclinuxos repos

What version of 4 is it ?

A. proxychains-ng v4.11

Where did you get it from ?

A. b) From your package manager ?

I'm going to try other sources of free proxies to see if I have better luck. Thanks for replaying.
