Promise Raid w/ 2.6.2 & suse 9 Not working

Hello, I have a promise raid controller card, a TX2000 model (20276) and i've been having trouble getting it to work under the new 2.6.2 kernel. It wouldn't work under the 2.4.21 kernel i had because there's a problem with the drivers and that kernel too. I thought with the 2.6.2 kernel, that there may be built in drivers but i guess not. Also, when trying to insert the old drivers as modules for the new kernel i get "wrong filetype" with insmod. Needs to be .ko instead of .o i guess? Has anyone gotten their FastTrack Raid card to work under 2.6 that can give me a hand?
