Project Manager vs. Site Manager
 

Will someone explain the difference between a project manager vs a site manager to me please? See I'm coming from Dreamweaver and it's hard going cold turkey from being able to press ctrl+shift+u and upload my files to the web servers.

Nvu, Bluefish and Quanta all see to have project managers to keep track of files, but none of them will let me upload files to the server. And before you spout off, "Nvu will let you...", no it didn't let me.

The whole CXOffice thing won't work for me either because I have the DW MX2004 issue which isn't supported by codeweavers...yet.

I'm resolving to use Bluefish and iglooFTP-Pro because then, I can uninstall KDE and not waste my time with it. Quanta holds nothing for me with out a way to publish my pages and scripts from the same app, and all my reading upto this point says, "It ain't gonna happen."

Am I wrong? From what I can see the project manager is keeping track of my files, and I can do that with folders. I want a site manager that will map my local files to the remote files and preserve the folder tree itself, making it safer for me to publish pages to the net.

1 app that does it all, instead of 2 to make it happen.
