programs slow opening
Hi, I have Suse 10.0, Programs like Firefox, Opera and Thunderbird and others seem slow to open. I have 1 Gig of ram so plenty of memory. I have been reading the threads to find a similar problem one suggested that a swap file should be double the ram, I went into yast but could not increase the ram using their tools only decrease. Another was to get the latest version of Java, I searched using Yast and it downloaded the Java don't know if its the latest? Firefox takes about 5-9 seconds to open Opera a bit quicker, In XP they are almost instant, if this is normal then that's OK im not a speed freak, just want to know its all working as it should, Adrian (new to all this so need simple answers please) KDE
