Program to write ISO to USB drive

Is there any free program that can write an ISO image to a USB drive?

I know this is possible because DSL sells 128MB USB drives with DSL installed.

Have you tried dd?
The command would look something like the following:
dd if=file.iso of=/dev/usbdrive
See the man for dd

I used it to copy a floppy image to a usb drive. Worked for me.

I know I am a little bit late Exist program called unetbootin which do exactly what you want, write iso to usb and makes it bootable. The dd command did not working for me. Also unetbooting did not work on every distros (tried with ubuntu, xubuntu and worked, but with fluxbuntu did not)

Start at pendrivelinux.com.

Be careful with dd command.

I don't take offense to that but I do speak Texan most of the time. I hope you will reconsider your harsh conditions.
