Program to check Block Error Rate (BLER) of CDs?

Hi all,

I am looking for a program to check CDs for their quality of data after burning -- not the integrity per se like with md5sum, but how many errors have to be corrected (by the firmware?) during subsequent reads without leading to data loss (also check on ageing of CDs).

I read this can be done by programs which check the Block Error Rate (BLER) of CDs. I also read that NeroCDSpeed 4.0 for Win does that and I'm looking for something akin.

I found hints at a program called KProbe, but that is apparently something different.

So, I would like something akin to NeroCDSpeed 4.0 but for Linux. Anyone knows anything like this? Thanks for any hints.
