Program snmp trap

Hi,

I am a student and I am working on a project.

I have find a program (AMMT) to monitor Transport streams.
It's a program made in Java.

I'm working with a Debian on the computer that runs this program.

The program is made to send SNMP traps when it lose connection with a Transport stream.

But I get this error:
Exception in main(): java.net.BindException: Permission denied

I have installed SNMP and SNMPD on the computer.

Do you guys have any idea to help me?

Many thanks,
Stijn

I found it's a problem with permissions.

The program doesn't run in root permissions.

How can I let the program run in root?
