proftpd - finishes when 108 of 4500 Mb is sendt

proftpd and clienent aborts the transfer after a little over 100 Mb is sendt. Have tried to use different computers, some on the same network and others not. The problem only appears on some large files. Does anybody have a clue on what the problem could be?

yes, have around 250 gb free, so thats not the problem.
