proftpd question

I have proftp setup correctly and everything works fine.
The only thing I can't do, and I might be interpreting the log wrong, is find out if a file that someone uploaded actually finished or died in the middle for example.

How would I determine what finished and what didn't ???

The log doesn't say something along the lines of "transfer failed".

Here's an example of what the xfer log looks like:

Mon Sep 22 11:55:26 2003 0 <IP> 12861 <directory/file> a _ i r <user> ftp 0 * c

by the way I have a feeling someone might say the "c" at the end may mean complete... it doesn't

If anyone knows a method to find out what finished fully plz let me know.

man 5 xferlog says that "c" at the end does mean completion; but it sounds like you know from experience that it doesn't.

Maybe their definition of "complete" is different that ours?

actually I was the mistaken one.... I noticed it a few days ago... the "c" does mean complete.

talk about rediculous confusion... I don't remember why but I must have misinterpreted something in the log by accident that gave me reason to believe that the c wasn't complete

thanks for the help
