proftpd problem

My ftp server is useing proftpd my server gives this error when i start
proftpd: my server spelled wrong - error: unable to determine IP address of 'my server spelled wrong'

i know what the problem is just not how to fix it

i have checked my host files and network files and everything is spelled right there so im kinda lost and looking for any help what so ever i have also searched the forms and didnt find anything that fixed the probelem

i solved my own problem by typeing hostname "my server spelled right"
