Proftpd.delay file not found

I am going through the tutorial on this site on how to set up proftpd, but when I get to this

Quote:
/usr/src/proftpd-1.3.0a/proftpd -c /usr/src/proftpd-1.3.0a/sample-configurations/basic.conf
I get this error

Quote:
mod_delay/0.5: error opening DelayTable '/usr/sbin/var/proftpd/proftpd.delay': No such file or directory
When I run a whereis for that file as root, nothing shows up so it seems that I don't have such a file on my computer.

Does anyone have any ideas where to go next. I have followed all the commands straight off the tutorial.

Thanks ahead of time.

I'm running openSuse10.2

I've installed proftpd from source and this file is under /usr/local/var/proftpd/
If you want to find a file in your disk you can either use find (which is slower) or locate:
Code:
find / -name proftpd.delay
or
updatedb
locate proftpd.delay
There si no need to run updatedb everytime you look for a file. Just put it in your crontab to run every week or so.

Regards

I used those and it's not there. As a result I ended up installing vsftpd from yast and went with that. Thanks anyways.
