Profiles

Hi,
I have KDE3 running on my Linux box and it works great.
But when I log in under root I get the old KDE2 style. But under a different username I get the KDE3 icons and scheme etc.

Is it possible to copy the user profile to the root profile?

I don't do/need KDE, but I'm sure its just txtfile configs, so that wouldn't be hard to copy right? Just don't forget to change login/user/directory names and file permissions where appropriate and backup the old configs just in case.

Hi Jeucken,
If you really need the eye candy of Keramik and the crystal icons when logged on as root, then use the KDE control center(kcontrol) to make the changes. Copying kde profiles may be troublesome.

SuSE always loads a very minimalistic kde desktop for the root user, I have seen this in all versions of Kde in the past 2 years.
Thanks,
Manas
