Procurement Management Software

Dear team,

I am in need of any open source software through which I can manage my purchasing for business. i.e I can submit a requisition order to purchase something (what we buying, cost, where we buying it for, why we buying it) which project is it part of or is it monthly recurring costs associated with an area, what is the total budget of that project or monthly area cost.

a PO is generated, matched with the invoice, when items are received then delivery/packing lists are checked against the PO.

If anyone knows any good software for these requirements please help.

Thanks

BR

Kamran

I agree that there are hundreds of ways to go. From web based applications to stand alone to CMS type like airline management. (not cms, what is it?)

I'm sure there are plenty here that would write a database and use some way to access it and run programs based on metrics.

I haven't been there in a while but Turnkey linux offers a number of pre-made vm's and images. Maybe something to build on.

In a simple sense you could write this in OpenOffice or the package similar in KDE, Kexi.

I guess the first question is more the scope of this. How many records and such?

Used Filemaker myself and it really is pretty good but takes some time to build.
